Have you ever wondered how chocolate Easter eggs are made? They have perfect shape, hollow on the inside and have all sorts of designs and fillings. That just must be hard to make!

I guess I’m not the only one asking this question because Betty’s, a more than 100 ears old UK company specialized on chocolate confections decided to share the process with the world. And let me tell you – the amount of skill and effort to create just one egg is ENORMOUS!

First, layers of finest chocolate are poured into a mold, one by one. Icing designs are then made by hand and glued to the shell using chocolate.

Once everything’s finally done, the two halves of the egg are sealed together, and the seam is concealed by a hand-piped chocolate design. The chocolate egg is almost complete!
