We all know what gnocchi are – delicious little puffs dumplings made of potato dough.

Traditionally, they are first boiled and then pan seared. This procedure gives them a perfect crisp outside and tenderness inside. There’s only one thing you can’t do with this food. You can’t deep fry them. Or you can, if you’re into a good laugh instead of dinner.

One cook forgot this valuable lesson from his cooking class and while making a video tutorial he decided to give his food some extra crunch by deep frying them. In less than a minute gnocchi started to act like giant popcorn, jumping all over the kitchen and making even the chef breaking down in laughter.
